Broccoli stem pickle by Rajam from Sydney

Ingredients:

3 stems(lower half of broccoli)
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp hing(asafoetida)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
Methi powder
Haldi powder
Salt to taste
2 tsp of lime juice.

Method:

Skin and wash broccoli stems. Then chop them small.
In a kadai heat 3 tsp of cooking oil.
To this add mustard, methi,haldi,chilli powder and hing.
Stir and then add the chopped stem and salt.
Mix well. Off the fire. Add the lime juice.
Mix well and store in a bottle and can be used immediately.
