Moolangi Chutney (Raddish/Mooli Chutney) by Vanishree K Nadgir


Fresh Grated Coconuts - 1/2 Cup
Small lemon sized- Tamarind
Jaggery - little
Salt to taste
Moolangi(raddish/mooli)- 1 cup (cut into small cubes)
Green chillies - 4
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp


Take oil in a pan, add mustard seeds.

When it splutters add radish pieces and fry a bit.

When radish becomes tender add green chillies and fry till radish is properly cooked. Let this cool.

In a blender, put coconut, salt, tamarind paste/powder, jaggery and the above fried thing. Make it a smooth paste.

It goes very well with rice items especially.
