Jaggary Rice(Bellanna) by Veena Srinath

I am a housewife, and interested in cooking.

Ingredients:

Rice 1 cup,
Jaggary 1/2 cup,
Grated coconut 1/2 cup, Cardamom 4-5,
Raisins 4-5,
Cashew nut 10,
Ghee 1 tbsp.


Method:

Prepare rice and keep aside. Heat ghee in a pan and add raisins, cashew nuts and fry till it turns to golden brown color and keep aside.

Take jaggary in a vessel and add 1/2 cup of water and allow to boil for 5 minutes. Then add rice, grated coconut, cardamom powder and mix it well.

Garnish with raisins and cashew nuts. Serve it hot.
