Palak(Spinach) Vada   - by Chinmayee

Ingredients:

Chopped Palak (Spinach) 1 cup
Besan (chana/gram flour) 1cup
Rice flour 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Asafoetida a pinch
Chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp

Seasoning:

Oil 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Asafoetida a pinch

Method:

Mix besan and rice flour. Add chopped palak. Prepare a thick batter adding water. Make small balls and keep all balls in a cooker vessel. Steam cook for about 10-15 minutes (without vent on pressure cooker, similar to idli cooking).

Then cut  it into small pieces (or keep as balls) and keep aside. Make seasoning and pour on top of it. Mix well.

Serve with coffee or tea. Even it can be served as a side dish for lunch/dinner.
